• OAXACAN RED: (Oaxacan Spear x Angola Red)

The Oaxacan used was collected by my friend Bodhi in the coastal region of Oaxaca on the beach of Zipolite. The Oaxacan Zipolite was a phenotype dubbed Spear because it formed long colas or spears. Interesting information that you can tell your friends. We call buds colas derived from the Mexican farmers, referring to the long floral clusters on many of the plant strains coming out of the Sierra Madre mountain range, which runs throughout the country of Mexico. Colas de Zorro is what the farmers would call the buds, which means tails of the fox or Foxtails, so for short, Colas tell tails. 

Originally the Oaxacan Red, at least this one that I bred with the Angola Red male, which was as bright a red as one could find in nature. This male was long with poor branching, but absolutely everything was red; the sepals, petioles, and stems were fire engine red. Much of this coloration seems to come from the sap of the Angola line, which becomes more apparent once the chlorophyll leaves the plants as the season changes from temperate to cold. This can hasten during hot days and cold nights in the wine-growing and cannabis-growing regions of Northern California. 

** This Oaxacan Red was never meant to be released and was meant for friends and breeders who had the time and respect to work to improve the line. Unfortunately, it was released for monetary gain, which I was not happy about because it wasn’t a stable line. The instability issues from the Oaxacan do increase the chances of intersex traits popping up, but the intersex issues seem to be a sensitivity/stress-induced trigger. These are not broad intersex issues related to poor genetics. These are unique and special genetics and will only be releasing this line in a minor one time release.**

The Oaxacan Red (Oaxacan Spear x Angola Red) forms long colas tinged with red shades from bright to dark, greens and shades of orange and yellow come through. Other phenotypes produce small floral clusters, some with heavier resin production and others with reasonable amounts of resin. The aroma is slightly spicy, not especially dramatic, but a fresh, mentholated smell emanates from squeezing new buds or dried floral clusters. The high isn’t incredibly potent but potent enough to please most smokers. With work and a breeding plan, this Oaxacan Red could be a great addition to any well-planned strain creation.

These are breeding lines and have a quality that has practically disappeared since these lines are preservation works released in **Limited Quantity** , Be aware that some intersex traits may pop up from the Oaxacan Red as a test grow shown slight intersex traits.**This can happen from any plant stress but should be noted before deciding to purchase** Again these are breeding lines for those who don’t mind the work of breeding with unworked preservation lines of the past.
